WV ACTE

This award honors outstanding middle and secondary CTE teachers who demonstrate innovative classroom practice, strong commitment to their students, and dedication to advancing CTE within their institutions and communities.

This award recognizes new CTE teachers who have made significant contributions toward innovative and unique CTE programs and shown a professional commitment early in their careers. 

This award honors CTE administrators at the school, district, county, state, or federal level who provide distinguished leadership in supporting teacher and student success and who have significantly contributed to creating innovative, unique, and effective CTE programs.

This award recognizes teacher educators, secondary or postsecondary, who are committed to preparing teachers to deliver high quality CTE programs, demonstrated innovation in teacher education, and leadership in improving CTE. 

This award honors outstanding postsecondary career and technical professionals who have educated students in CTE pathways, demonstrated classroom innovation, and shown dedication to advancing CTE within their institutions and communities.

This award recognizes individuals who have used CTE to make a significant impact on their community and demonstrated leadership in programs and activities that promote student involvement in community service.

This award honors school counselors and career development professionals who demonstrate commitment to connecting students with success opportunities, innovation in career exploration and development, and advocacy for CTE as a viable pathway for all students.

This award recognizes CTE professionals for their leadership on behalf of ACTE, their innovations in CTE and their contributions to the field over an extended period of time.

This award honors advisory board members who have made significant contributions to CTE within Region I.

This award recognizes NEW secondary or postsecondary innovative CTE programs within Region I.

Jim Hanneman was a leader and scholar in CTE agriculture. The Jim Hanneman Leadership and Service Award honors Region I Policy Committee members who have made outstanding contributions to advancing, promoting, developing, and progressing CTE within Region I.

The outstanding business partnership award recognizes a supportive partnership that has made a significant contribution to CTE in Region I.

This award recognizes outstanding school board members that have made a significant contribution to CTE within Region I.

Established in 1998 to honor the late Dr. Scott Westbrook III—a humanitarian leader in CTE and the first Black president of Michigan ACTE—this award recognizes individuals who have dedicated themselves to improving communities, education, and society through career and technical education.

This award is presented to schools and institutions that have 100% ACTE membership among their career and technical education staff. All CTE staff must be ACTE members by December 31. Due: February 1

ACTE’s Business-Education Partnership Award honors business and education leaders who foster successful CTE partnerships to boost student achievement, economic development, and workforce readiness. It highlights best practices, offers guidance on creating and sustaining such collaborations, and encourages broader adoption nationwide. Due: August 1

ACTE’s Champion for CTE Awards honor education leaders, business executives, celebrities, and influencers who advocate for CTE programs to build a prepared, adaptable workforce. They spotlight impactful advocates—from local figures to national leaders—who promote best practices, supportive policies, and a positive public image of CTE to inspire others and unify its supporters.
